How should tunnel fan equipment be maintained regularly?

2026-03-10

The operating environment should be maintained in a clean state at all times; the surface of the fan must remain tidy, and there should be no debris in the air intake or exhaust ports. Dust and other contaminants within the fan and its ducts should be removed regularly.

The fan may only operate when running at full speed, with adequate power supply capacity and stable voltage maintained. Phase loss operation is strictly prohibited. The power supply must be via dedicated lines; temporary circuits should not be used for extended periods.

During operation, if abnormalities such as unusual noise, severe motor overheating, live casing, switch tripping, or failure to start are observed, the fan must be immediately shut down for inspection. For safety reasons, maintenance is strictly prohibited while the fan is in operation. After maintenance, a test run for approximately five minutes should be conducted; only after confirming no abnormalities should the fan be restarted.

According to operating conditions, lubricating grease should be added or replaced periodically (closed motor bearings do not require grease replacement during their service life). To ensure optimal lubrication during fan operation, grease application must occur at least once every 1,000 hours. For both closed bearings and motor bearings, use ZL–3 lithium-based lubricating grease to fill two-thirds of the inner and outer rings. Operation without adequate oil is strictly prohibited.

The fan shall be stored in a dry environment to prevent moisture exposure of the motor. When stored outdoors, the fan must be protected against rain. During storage and handling, avoid impacts or collisions to prevent damage to the fan.
